Power measurement system

Additional information InfoCrank power measurements

InfoCrank power measurement system designed for road bikes as one of the few measures the strength of each leg separately. The high-tech InfoCrank cycling meter combines the highest quality, measurement accuracy, wide choice, modern design and ease of use. InfoCrank is one of the most accurate cycling meters available on the market, deviation: +-0.5!!!

FRAME COMPATIBILITY – WHICH MODEL TO CHOOSE?

The first crankmist model (Compact IC – 110 BCD – 30 mm – BLACK) is a compact 110BCD, with a rigid 30 mm shaft (axle -spindle), using precision-built, US-designed Praxis Works M30 brackets for BSA, BB30, PF30, OSBB and BB86 frames.

Our second crankm mechanism design (Classic IC – 130 BCD – 24 mm – SILVER/BLACK) is a standard and classic 130BCD set with a 24 mm roller, which can be used in many frames with a bottom bracket coming from the secondary market.

A very wide range of crank lengths and table top sizes are available. We have compacts in 50/34 or 52/36 BCD110mm and disc kits 50/34 52/36 53/39 or larger countertops for time travel for BCD130mm.

SOLID PRODUCT

The InfoCrank meter is built to be resistant to all weather conditions and harmful effects of other factors: waterproof, ambient temperature does not affect the accuracy of data due to the high quality of instruments and measuring components, resistant to shocks and impacts, very rarely needs to replace batteries, which are widely available and inexpensive.

Principle

CADENCE (FREQUENCY OF ROTATION OF PEDALS AT REVOLUTIONS PER MINUTE)

The InfoCrank meter uses a magnetic sensor to measure cadence. The magnetic sensor is more accurate, consumes less energy, and has a faster start-up and response time than other cadence measurement methods.

Torque

The InfoCrank meter measures the true driving force of the bike. When you press the pedals, only tangential forces drive the bike forward. The tangential force is measured by wheatston’s precisely placed bridge system with a tensometer of laboratory quality and accuracy of up to 0.1mm. This force is known as torque and is measured in newtonometers (Nm).

The load path, from the pedal to the crank and discs, has been optimized to transmit only the torque that drives the bike.

Power

The product of cadence and torque is the power measured in watts (W). Knowing your own power contribution is the most advantageous help for any cyclist who wants to improve his form and ride more efficiently.

Drift

Eliminating drift was one of the key factors in the design specification to ensure accurate and accurate measurement. InfoCrank is designed to eliminate the possibility of drift when driving or between rides. In power-based training, it is important that the data obtained today are the same as tomorrow for a certain watt value.

TWO-WAY READ (Pedal Balance R/L)

Most measuring devices give us power values solely on the basis of one-sided reading, InfoCrank has an incredible advantage, as we get independent data from both the left and right legs. The physique of a person is not symmetrical, which translates into a double-sided use of force on the pedals and the resulting differences during driving can have a significant impact on the results. Capturing the uneven distribution of force allows us to apply remedies that can correct the defect and minimize possible asymmetry.

COMPATIBLE WITH ANT+

The InfoCrank meter uses the ANT+ wireless communication protocol to communicate with any bicycle computer. You can purchase it with Navi2coach or integrate it with your current bike computer, while making sure it has left and right power balance readings. It is also possible to use free programs available for android smartphones eg. ANT + Radio Control Plugin in combination with the free IpBike application (IpSensorMan).

SIMPLE INSTALLATION

Installing InfoCrank on your bike is very easy. This is a quick and easy installation that can be done by any of us based on a short video tutorial:

FACTORY-CALIBRATED

InfoCrank is calibrated in the factory where he begins his life. With InfoCrank in most cases you will have to learn to say 'no’ calibration function in your bike computer. Assuming there is no serious damage to the crank, you will no longer need to recalibrate or reset. If your bike is hit and you want to be more confident, you can use the 'calibrate’ function on your ANT+ enabled computer by following our instructions carefully.
